Cruelty free.  Sustainable.  Each feather is lovingly gathered, and never plucked, at a California aviary and bird sanctuary whose aim is to provide a safe and happy life for these amazing creatures.  The plumes are collected daily by hand from the enclosure after molting (a natural process by which the bird sheds its feathers) takes place, and each one is individually sanitized before being air-dried to maintain its original form.
